How Does Mosquito Magnet Work?

A Mosquito Magnet trap lures mosquitoes using a combination of two powerful attractants that are virtually unnoticeable to people but combine to improve mosquito capture by up to ten times. A steady stream of carbon dioxide is made by slowly burning propane from an attached canister, mimicking the breath of live human or animal mosquito targets. This odorless gas is combined with octenol, which simulates the natural human scents that mosquitoes find irresistible, and then blown out of the Mosquito Magnet's nozzle.

As adult mosquitoes from the surrounding area home in on the attractants, a powerful suction device pulls them into the trap, and they're collected in a removable net from which there's no escape. The insects will dehydrate and expire within 24 hours, breaking the breeding cycle to stop infestations in their tracks.

For the best results, place your Mosquito Magnet near known breeding areas once the weather starts to warm above 50F, and leave it running permanently to maximize the capture rate. Check the net and propane levels every three weeks or so, replacing each if needed, and you can enjoy effective mosquito control for the entire outdoor season.

Choice of Two Mosquito Magnets: Patriot Plus and Executive

The Mosquito Magnet relies on electricity to power the suction and propane ignition, and the range has two types of magnets with different options for providing it.
